Trying out a lower 100" fixed gear on the H10/3R brought a 23:05 time for the '10' good enough for 4th for the Jem Hadar veteran. The climb at 4 miles always makes the fixed gear bike a questionable, but the climb never seems to be the problem. The recovery from the big effort needed to climb the 35m asent seems to be the issue. This is a course where the momentum from the decent on the return leg must be kept for as long as possible, again needing a high cadence for long stretches and this evening with the tail wind return this required over 2 miles at well over100rpm. Jymmy.T will go again on Wednesday on this H10/3R course. Tomorrow sees him tackle the hilly HCC234 course East of Reading using the geared rig.
